Danny van der Meulen

I work as an IT professional for over 20 years now. Since I started working in the IT world I always had a huge passion for UNIX systems. It all started with SUN, HP-UX, AIX and Irix systems. Today almost everything has moved to Linux based systems. Servers, phones, printers, television sets, set top boxes, kitchen appliances, you name it. They all run Linux. But the philosophy is still the same. A lot of small things that individually can do a task very well and together they can solve very complex problems.

In all these years I’ve seen many changes. Changes in techniques, changes in how systems are built, changes in how we work and how clients and users work with the systems we build. But building simple small blocks, that when put together, can achieve great things is my passion, that has not changed.
